Caffè Toraldo
Toraldo – The Neapolitan Espresso and Italian Lifestyle!
Vintage photos Toraldo
Caffè Toraldo’s journey began, as many Italian stories do, in a small shop driven by a big vision and passion. It is the story of three brothers who started with modest beginnings, embracing life with courage and determination to create something uniquely their own.
The name Toraldo comes from their grandmother, a woman deeply devoted to her family and six children, who passed down to them both a zest for life and a determination to always pursue their dreams.
“Success belongs to those who transform their desires into reality,”
was the motto of Mario Simonetti, one of the founding partners of Caffè Toraldo.
The name Toraldo carries this dream, alongside values rooted in its land: Naples, the city that many regard as the true birthplace of Italian espresso. This is why the biggest challenge for Caffè Toraldo was bringing a taste of Naples to tables, offices, and bars around the world with their perfect coffee recipe.
For over 60 years, Caffè Toraldo has been producing high-quality blends, rich in both flavor and history. With every cup, you can experience the scent of the city, its traditions, its rituals, and that unique Neapolitan lightness. Today, the brand continues to drive this image forward, balancing tradition with innovation to meet the needs of coffee lovers worldwide.
Blending Tradition with Innovation
Every company must adapt to modern times, and Toraldo has embraced market diversification. In 1993, a new production facility was inaugurated.

Toraldo coffee is distinguished by its authentic character and the exceptional quality of its blends, crafted according to the traditional Neapolitan roasting methods. As an advertisement in Italy amusingly highlights, “From the first sip, Toraldo coffee makes everyone a little Neapolitan.”
Since the 1960s, the company has expanded, opening new production facilities and diversifying its products. This includes specialized blends for both bars and large-scale retail, as well as ESE pods and capsules compatible with various extraction systems.
Thanks to its forward-thinking approach, Neapolitan coffee is now enjoyed worldwide, available in over 25 countries across Europe, North Africa, and the United States.
A Color for Every Taste
The selection of Caffè Tora
All Toraldo blends are carefully roasted at low temperatures for an extended period, until the beans achieve a dark color and a silky sheen. Here, bitterness and acidity have no place, but the coffees possess a distinctive and pronounced aroma. Each quality blend is marked by a unique, recognizable color: from the soft orange range, made up of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta, to the more energetic “Bluette” blend, made with 60% Arabica and 40% Robusta.
Toraldo carefully selects only the best beans, following the standards of the traditional Neapolitan coffee archetype that is beloved by the city's most discerning coffee connoisseurs.
