Sant'Eustachio Decaffeinated
Ground coffee, in 250g tin
Sant'Eustachio is a small cult bar in Rome. For brothers Roberto and Raimondo Ricci, the top priority is the quality of the beans. The exclusive Gran Caffe blend composed of 100% Arabica beans has a simply heavenly taste. Today, as in the past, the different bean varieties are roasted individually in a wood-fired oven.
The caffeine content is less than 0.1%!
Sant'Eutstachio uses the complex and expensive water decaffeination method and dispenses completely with chemicals.
The following Arabica varieties are used in Sant'Eustachio:
Brazilian coffee - Sul de Minas
The beans are dried naturally in the sun. This preserves the taste characteristics. A very complex coffee with a slight acidity and a full-bodied taste.
Coffee from the island of St Helena - a true gourmet speciality
Only the best coffee drupes are picked every week. In this way, the quality of the harvest is unique. These beans have a perfect balance of acidity and body. A great fragrant bouquet with floral-fruity hints. The medium body is reminiscent of chocolate and spices.
Coffee from the Dominican Republic
The warm sea currents and constant air currents favour the quality of these Guaigui beans. This coffee impresses with its body and cocoa aromas. Its low acidity and remarkable creaminess make it perfect for making espresso.
Galapagos Islands Bourbon Coffee
The Bourbon variety has been cultivated on the islands for 140 years. Here the variety finds the ideal climatic conditions to become a top coffee. Volcanic soils and a high mineral content favour the development of this exceptional quality. In harmony with the surrounding natural paradise, the coffee plants are cultivated organically.
Guatemalan coffee - Fair Trade
The Chajul population is 92% indigenous. The 'Asociacion Chajulense Va'l Vaq Quyol' (literally: one voice) has improved the living conditions of the Ixil Maya since 1988. Eighty per cent of their income comes from coffee production. Today, the small communities sell their coffee directly abroad. In the past they had to sell it to middlemen at very low prices.
This extremely valuable coffee comes from controlled organic cultivation.
Organic coffee from Sidamo, Ethiopia
The ideal geographical and climatic conditions in the homeland of coffee make Sidamo so attractive for use in gourmet blends. A deep spicy aroma rises from these small beans and is complemented by aromas of chocolate and wine. Floral notes and pronounced aromas of citrus blossom with a crisp, lively acidity complete the tasting pleasure of this coffee.
