Illy Moka is not just a coffee. Behind it lies a whole world with its rituals and traditions, its gestures and its little particularitiess. In a cup of illy coffee, you'll find both the taste of illy and a passion for research and innovation. The products are constantly being developed, with the aim of always spoiling the consumer with an excellent espresso. It was with the same passion that illy, in collaboration with the University of Coffee in Trieste, spent 6 years developing the illy Moka coffee, designed for typical Italian coffee makers such as Bialetti.

During the development of the product, illy discovered that, when coffee is prepared using a coffee maker, the noble aromatic substances are released at the end, just before the water rises. At the end of the boiling process, a rather bitter stream flows into the finished coffee. When preparing an excellent Moka coffee, it is therefore important not to use this flux or to avoid it altogether.

illy Moka coffee is coarser ground than normal espresso coffee.

Characteristics: medium-strength coffee, good crema formation, low caffeine content.
