In the 1990s, founder Sam Jacobi worked for a PR agency in London when he stumbled upon a recipe for Peanut Flapjacks in a magazine. His family and friends loved the bars so much that he decided to sell them throughout London. Within months, he found a bakery and named the bars "Giant Bars".
