A blend of Arabica from Ethiopia and Nicaragua. Intensely sweet taste, full-bodied, optimal crema, very pleasing aroma. Dark berry notes and almond as well as caramel flavors provide a complex blend that evolves until the last sip.

This is what Elbgold says about NOBILE:  Attention! This espresso is not a traditional Italian espresso!

In 2004, the birth year of Elbgold and NOBILE, we simply wanted to prove that a "noble" espresso can also come from Hamburg. Our NOBILE is a super sweet and very fruity espresso because we use only beans that have been processed naturally for this blend. For this, the cherries from our friends in Nicaragua and Ethiopia are sun-dried on raised beds after picking. By fermenting the coffee cherries in the pulp, they acquire their special flavor, their fruity, berry taste, and their intense sweetness.

And this can be very special or even too acidic for many. But the NOBILE also has a huge fan base who were not at all thrilled about renaming it or even abolishing it. So it continues to be called NOBILE until we come up with a suitable name that doesn't mislead anyone and pleases everyone. In addition to its special fruity note, it also has hints of caramel and vanilla, is super complex and velvety. We roast it with an Agtron value of 70, a light roast.

And this is our brewing recipe: 17.5g in. 40g out and an extraction time of 27 seconds.
